Challenge

Having acquired an £80m business in the Netherlands, the challenge was to integrate the operation without loosing value in the transition. Migrating the acquisition’s IT systems and technical platforms onto Securicor systems would be a major aspect of the transition.

Solution

As Integration Director, I worked closely with the newly appointed MD and management team to ensure a successful transition.

This involved co-ordinating a communications plan for staff, clients and the Group Board as we restructured the business to save costs and provide scalability for future growth.

In the meantime, it was essential to sustain business-as-usual delivery and growth during the transition.

Results

An integration planned for 12 months was completed successfully in six, leaving the local management team in full control.

IT migration, including a central monitoring station, was achieved without client impact.

During the transition a small bolt-on acquisition was made and also integrated successfully.

The business retained all clients and key staff during the integration process, while also delivering the business plan’s objectives.
